Bariguna Coffee is connecting small coffee producers in the Mount Elgon region in Uganda with the specialty coffee market in Europe. We are part of a transparent coffee trading process, in which producers occupy the top position in the value chain and all actors obtain a fairly distributed revenue. In addition to the basic values of quality and fairness, we also support coffee producers in their efforts in environmental conservation. Bariguna is in partnership with Rehm Specialty Coffee Hamburg and the international NGO AidEnvironment that supports sustainable coffee farm management in the Mount Elgon region.
As a specific project, Bariguna wants to use its coffee, through retail and coffee shops, as a vehicle and a link to connect coffee consumers in Europe with artists, fashion creators and designers in Uganda and offer a platform to showcase their creativity.
